Doll, doll's clothing
Dressing up doll set consisting of a flat doll and five interchangeabl outfits. The doll belonged to Sandra Thorne (1945-1955) of Brixton, the only child of parents who ran a taxi and coach business in South London.
The doll is marked ‘Selcol. Made in England’. Selcol was the London-based branch of the musical instrument company Selmer. After the second world war Selcol began to make plastic toys, and by the 1960s were specialising in toy guitars and drums.
