Printed Ephemera — 1958
British Passport
This passport was issued to Jamie Sharpley. As a schoolboy in Northolt, Middlesex, Jamie went on two overseas school trips. One was to Belgium in 1957 when Jamie was still at primary school; the other was to Austria in 1964 and was arranged by the Anglo-Austrian Society.
This passport was originally issued for the Belgium. In 1963 it was renewed to include a photo of Jamie as an adult. In 1967 Jamie used the passport for an overland trip to India arranged by the Commonwealth Expedition. By this time he was studying for an external London University degree at the Borough Polytechnic in Southwark.
