Sign, public telephone sign
This enamel public telephone sign was used by the National Telephone Company (NTC). Established in 1881, the NTC was based at Telephone House on Temple Avenue in the City of London. The company's network was taken over the General Post Office upon the expiry of its licence on 31 December 1911.
