Telephone
The 200 series telephone was developed by the General Post Office in partnership with the Siemens firm. The telephone 232 was introduced in 1934 and was available in black, red, ivory and green.
The Post Office sub-contracted manufacturing telephones to a variety of firms. This model 232L was manufactured by Siemens at the company's Woolwich factory. It features a pull-out drawer for a notepad.
