Printed Ephemera — 1988
What's on in Jewish London
Booklet entitled 'What's on in Jewish London' advertising courses, discussion groups, radio stations and events aimed at the Jewish community. It was produced in 1988 by Project Speakeasy, based at the Edgware Synagogue. They provided a counselling service for young Jewish people. The booklet features a cartoon of a Jewish family moving to Edgware. Jewish people began to move to the area during the 1920s, as the tube line was extended northwards opening up the suburbs. This saw the development of new synagogues, Jewish schools, kosher shops and other services for the local community.
