Printed Ephemera — 1878
Letter
This handwritten letter from Mrs. Lucie Smith of Kingston, Jamaica, is an order for two bonnets for herself, hats for each of her three daughters and a hat for a girl of 15. The recipient, Mrs. Brooke, was a London milliner specialising in 'Wedding, Mourning and Indian Orders'. This means that she would make up hats to send abroad to the colonies in the West Indies.
