The Jew Old-Clothes-Man. "Clo', Clo', Clo'."
Engraved illustration based on a photograph showing a Jewish street seller of second hand clothes. The bearded man wears a top hat and overcoat. He carries a sack over his shoulder, and in his hand he carries a bowl. The illustration was published in Henry Mayhew's 'London Labour and the London Poor: The condition of those that will work, cannot work, and will not work', Vol. 1., 'London Street-Folk', first published in 1861. No. 32 page 491.
