Shirt
This man's shirt, designed by Ossie Clark and made from printed silk chiffon, is from about 1970-1973. The fabric, which was designed for Ossie Clark by Celia Birtwell, is printed in grey on a champagne-coloured ground to create a design whose dominant motif is a record.
The shirt has a turn-down colour with long curved points and long sleeves. It is cut to fit closely to the body and has vertical darts from waist to chest in the front panels. The back is cut with a yoke, two narrow side panels and a centre back panel.
Keith Webber wore the shirt and Geoffrey Osmint gave it to the Museum of London in his memory in August 2001.
