Working History — 1820-1870
Set square, joiner's set square
This wooden bevel square forms part of a group of tools contained in a fine early 19th century toolchest. Many of the tools are marked W Gray. The bevel square carries no owner's mark and was possibly not part of the original compliment of tools in the chest. It was probably homemade and used for testing and setting out work to any angle.
