Tool, glassmaker's tool
This tool was used by glassmakers at the Whitefriars factory in the mid-twentieth century. Whitefriars Company was a major London industry in operation for three hundred years, producing thousands of high-quality glassware items. In 1980, a combination of increasing costs, competition and recession forced the company to close. The Museum of London acquired the company’s archives, including written material, images, tools and products.
