Finger ring, posy ring
A plain gold posy ring of D-shaped section inscribed internally in cursive script 'As god decreed so wee agreed' with the maker's initial 'H' in cursive capital in a shield [there is a horizontal bar to the left]. The mark is unidentified.
See rings in the British Museum (Evans collection) inv. no. 1961, 1202.32 and Dalton - (Franks bequest) numbers Af.815; Af. 824 and Af. 1322 for identical marks. See also posy rings numbered 62.4/66 and 62.4/88 in the Museum of London's collection with the same inscription.
