Finger ring, posy ring
A plain gold ring of D-shaped section inscribed internally in cursive script 'Joyned in one by Christ alone' with an indistinct and unidentified maker's mark.
See reference in Dame Joan Evans 'English Posies and Posy Rings' Oxford, 1931, p 64 and also posy ring in the British Museum (Franks bequest - AF. 1224; AF. 1225 and AF. 1226) with the same inscription.See similarly inscribed ring in the Museum of London's collection number 62.4/104.
