Badge, pin badge
This badge depicts Johnny Rotten, the singer and front man of the legendary punk band the Sex Pistols. Rotten was the stage name of John Lydon, originally from Finsbury Park in North London. As the child of Irish immigrant parents, Lydon went to a Roman Catholic school. In 1977 the Pistols released their most famous and controversial single, 'God Save the Queen'. The song attacked the monarchy in the year of Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee.
