Biface
Flint biface or cordate handaxe, sometimes called a 'bout coupé'. Rolled and stained with a small piece of cortex on butt. Probably made and used by Neanderthals - a so called Mousterian of Acheulian tradition (MAT) type tool. Found in the Thames at Hammersmith. Lent by the Carmarthenshire Antiquarian Society.
