Dress
Full length, A-line, pink silk evening dress. Cut on the bias with centre front and centre back seam. Left hand side opening with pink metal zip fastener. Front and back neckline decorated with a large broad band of embellished pink lace with metallic pink and purple pattern. Embellishments consist of plastic paillettes, floral sequins and bell shaped gold plastic ornaments. Dress is sleeveless and has two small pink silk shoulder straps.
The ensemble is from the Bellville Spanish Collection A/W 1967 and was listed in the programme as 'Infanta'. It was purchased and worn by Lady Sarah Ferguson Davie (nee Sarah Seyfried) at her Coming Out ball at Badminton House in 1967 (her uncle was the Earl of Badminton).
