Meredith & Drew Limited
Colour chromolithographed advertisement for Meredith and Drew 'high class cake and biscuit manufacturers' located at Shadwell, east London. The folded leaflet is printed both sides by the London firm of Sir Joseph Causton and Sons Limited. The front cover bears the company name, together with a Royal Warrant and medals won at the London and Brussels Food Exhibitions in the 1880s. The back cover is illustrated with a line drawing of Meredith and Drew's Shadwell factory showing a row of horse drawn delivery vans waiting to be distribute good to 'all parts of London and the suburbs'. Inside the leaflet is illustrated with the range of Meredith and Drew products and a line illustration of women at work in the factory's packing room, reflecting the company's tradition of being one of the largest employers of women living in the Shadwell area.
