Face powder & box
Block of face or 'beauty powder' in the shade marketed as 'Rachel', stored in original square shaped card packaging covered with white, purple and lilac paper labels. On one side of the label is printed 'Pompeian Rachel Beauty Powder'. On the reverse is printed 'Pompeian trade mark Made in England Beauty Powder Pompeian beauty Powder is obtainable in the following popular shades. Honey Rose, Sun Rose, Natural, Rachel, Peach, Brunette (deep Rachel) This is a War Emergency Pack and contains the usual quantity of powder Prichard & Constance (mfg) Ltd. Brentford, Middx'. Cosmetics were not rationed during the war, although they were extremely scarce.
