Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card comprising four gilded and white lace paper sheets stuck back to back to form a folding card with a gold silk fringe. In the centre of each sheet are pasted medallions. On the front cover the medallion comprises a silk panel printed with a portrait of a young child holding peacock feathers. The two inner medallions comprise, on the left, a sepia image of a church and on the right, a padded paper panel printed with a love verse entitled 'Unchanging Love'. On the back of the card is a black and white print of a country scene, now torn.
