Card, valentine card

Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising three lace paper border sheets attached one above the other by paper springs. The under sheet comprises a silver and white lace paper border surrounding an oval panel of cream watered silk decorated with an applied wreath of embossed coloured paper leaves and flowers. The middle sheet comprises a silver and white lace paper border trimmed with cream satin ribbon and a string of white cotton flowers. The top sheet comprises a silver and white lace paper floral border decorated with applied strings of pearls. One of a collection of cards stored within a scrapbook compiled by Jonathan King numbered 'Volume 1166'.
