Card, valentine card

Handfinished valentine's card comprising a gilded and white lace paper floral border decorated with an applied inner frame of silver embossed paper leaves and cream satin ribbon which forms an archway around an open central area. On the plain inner sheet beneath is applied a wreath of embossed coloured paper flowers, leaves and a garland of pink cotton flowers, dried grasses and paper leaves. This applied decoration can be seen through the open area of the top border sheet. One of a collection of cards stored within a scrapbook compiled by Jonathan King numbered 'Volume 1166'.
