Card, valentine card
Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising an under layer of cream satin surrounded by a white lace paper border. A lace sheet, by Windsor, has three open areas through which can be seen decoration applied to the cream satin below. Applied to the central area is a gilded paper vase filled with embossed coloured paper leaves and flowers. Applied to the side areas are cut out embossed, handcoloured figures of cupid. At the bottom of the card is applied a garland of white feathers, pressed cream satin leaves, embossed coloured paper leaves and flowers with two pearl beads. In the centre is a silver paper decoration embellished with red and blue glass beads.
