Card, valentine card
Multi-layered handfinished valentine's card comprising two white lace paper sheets attached one above the other by paper springs and embossed with an identical border design incorporating vases of flowers, birds and a bowl of fruit surrounding a central cream satin panel. Applied to the panel is a gilded paper 'Love' surrounded by a wreath of embossed silver leaves, pink fabric and white leather buds. The top sheet of lace paper also has a cameo embossed image of reclining classical male and female figures flanking a hovering cupid. The top of the card is decorated with an arrangement of three blue glass beads on silver paper ornaments and a length of coiled silver wire.
