Card, valentine card
Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising two lace paper sheets attached one above the other by paper springs. The cream lace paper undersheet is embossed with a delicate flower design surrounding a central panel handpainted with a river, waterfall and mountain landscape. Above this image is applied a panel of clear cellophane representing glass and around the edge are two layers of applied coloured and frosted lace paper representing a frame. This applied central decoration is surrounded by the top layer of lace paper part coloured silver and heavily embossed with a classical garden design including a minaret, gazebo, palms and foliage. The card is also decorated with a garland, a cream satin bow, a garland of embossed green paper leaves with tinsel stars and a paper cartouche.
