Card, valentine card
Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising two sheets of white lace paper attached one above the other by paper springs. The undersheet incorporates a border design of figures and scalloped drapes surrounding a central panel of cream satin. The silver and white top sheet is heavily embossed with a border design incorporating cupid figures holding up baskets of flowers, scalloped drapes, flowers and steps framing a central panel of cotton net. Applied to the net is a handcoloured cut out embossed paper figure of cupid. The card is also decorated with garlands of embossed coloured and silver paper leaves, green feathers and flowers of coiled wire covered with green and pink cotton plush.
