Card, valentine card

Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising an under sheet of white lace paper heavily embossed to represent a riverbank scene with trees, foliage and a reclining male figure. This design surrounds an oval shaped central panel part of which has been removed and replaced with a rice paper sheet handpainted with a lake and church. Beneath this image is applied an arrangement of dried grasses, ferns and flowers and embossed paper leaves. Applied above the border of the under sheet, by means of paper springs is a silver and white lace paper border heavily embossed with foliage, trees and flowers.
