Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card formed from a sheet of white lace paper with an embossed border design surrounding a central panel of cream satin. Applied to the satin is a silver paper oval medallion with a cameo embossed portrait of a female surrounded by a silver and white embossed paper frame raised by paper springs or hinges. Below is applied a garland of pink and white fabric flowers, dried grasses and embossed paper leaves. One of a collection of cards stuck within a scrapbook compiled by J.King numbered '37'. This card is applied to page 21 of the scrapbook headed '1/6 8 to Raised white fronts No 23'.
