Sash
Blue silk sash worn by Queen Ratling of the Grand Order of Lady Ratlings, a charity and fundraising group. The regalia is worn to denote different offices. When a member is first initiated she is given a gold sash to indicate that she are a Ratling. This pale blue sash belonged to Sylvia Dennis. These sashes belong to the Queen for a lifetime. After being secretary for fifteen years, Sylvia Dennis was also given the honorary title of Preceptor.
With gold thread lettering 'Queen Ratling 1968 Preceptor' and two sewn on badges, the top badge in the shape of a gold thread crown with red velvet lining and a circular bottom badge of padded blue satin embroidered with a gold thread monogram 'CA' and a gold thread border. At the bottom is sewn a blue tassel. A maker's label is sewn on the inside of the sash.
