Physician's College, Warwick Lane / Wittington's College, College Hill. Probably by Jones & Co for London in the 19th Century (1831) - plates 54 and 55 - see also 80.501/957. The premises in Warwick Lane were the third home of the Royal College of Physicians, designed by Wren and Robert Hooke to replace those lost in the Great Fire but replaced in turn by the premises in what is now Trafalgar Square in the time of George IV. Richard Whittington founded the College (and almshouses) of St Spirit & St Mary in the church of St Michael Paternoster Row. It was dissolved by Henry VIII; the almshouses moved to Highgate in 1808.
