Prerogative Will Office, Doctor's Commons. Plate 117. Drawn for London in the 19th Century (1831). A pencil note on the verso explains that the court of Doctor's Commons (the Court of Arches in Knightrider Street/Carter Lane, whose advocates were members of the College of Advocates and Doctors of Law) came under the Archbishop of Canterbury and tried disputes concerning wills.
