Roman Remains from St Michael's Crooked Lane, 1831. Plate XLIII, vol XXIV, p.202. Fragments of decorated pots. The Wren church of St Michael's was demolished in 1831 to make way for King William Street. The items are all pieces of highhly decorated pottery. One has a word (with some letters reversed): OSIRAISNAI. See Archaeologica XXIV (1832) pp. 190-202. District: Lower Thames Street.
