Mr Keene's Richmond, late Sr. Ch's Asgill's
Mr Keene's Richmond, late Sr. Ch's Asgill's. Asgill House, which survives, was built in 1758 by Sir Robert Taylor for Sir Charles Asgill, a banker, on the foundations of part of old Richmond Palace. Mr Keene is unidentified (and too early to be a mis-spelling of Edmund Kean, despite his later associations with Richmond). See also 80.501/888 for an item with similar content.
