Gunnersbury House in Middlesex, the seat of Sir Walter Stirling Esq
Gunnersbury House in Middlesex, the seat of Sir Walter Stirling Esq. - a view from the Thames. Gunnersbury House was built by John Webb in 1658-63 for Sir John Maynard, Charles II's legal adviser, and later Princess Amelia, daughter of George II, lived here. The house, which stood in Gunnersbury Park, was demolished in 1801.
