The Interior of the Prince of Wales's Conservatory at Carlton House. 'Engraved exclusively for La Belle Assemblee'. The Prince of Wales, later George IV, commissioned Henry Holland to improve and extend the house, works which continued over 30 years from 1785 but demolished when he became king and moved to Buckingham Palace. Some of the armorial glasss from the conservatory was removed to Windsor. Cf. 80.501/769.
