Gerards Hall
View of the vaults of the 13th century Gerrards Hall, Bread Street. The hall stood on the south side of Basing Lane, adjoining St. Mildred, Bread Street. The name came from a corruption of that of its original owner, John de Gisorcis (1296). It had a fine crypt with pointed vault, columns and capitals, dating about 1290. It was demolished to make way for the western extension of Cannon Street, 1853-4. See http://www.motco.com/Harben/2297.htm See 80.501/673, 80.501/674.
