Elevation of Saint Lukes Hospital for Lunatics in Old Street.
Elevation of Saint Lukes Hospital for Lunatics in Old Street (Finsbury). 'Extends 493 Feet, 5 Inchs". Opened in 1751 in Upper Moorfields but moved to Old Street in 1786 to buildings by George Dance junior, 1782-7. The hospital closed in 1916 and the site was sold to the Bank of England.
