Reverendissimus in Christo Pater Iohannes Tillotson Providentia Divina Archiepiscopus Cantuariensis totius Angliae Primas et Metrepolitanus [sic] S[ere]nissimis Principibus Regi Gulielmo et Reginae Mariae a Secretioribus Consiliis. John Tillotson (1630-1694) was Chaplain to Charles II and a prominent preacher of his age. He supported the Revolution of 1688; and was appointed Archbiship of Canterbury 1691. William and Mary had a great confidence in this 'elastic man, who did not bind himself to opinions'. Publisher and date are printed too faintly to read.
