Bishop Edmund Bonner
Bishop Edmund Bonner "from a cut in Fox's Martyrology" showing him with a flail raised above his head. Bonner (1500?-1569) was a Catholic bishop of London responsible for much persecution of Protestants. He refused to take the Oath of Supremacy to Elizabeth I, was deposed and imprisoned in the Marshalsea where he died in 1569.
