Sir Thomas Lunsford
Sir Thomas Lunsford, c.1611-56, "from an unique print in the British Musuem". A royalist, in 1633, he was indicted for the attempted murder of a neighbour, Sir Thomas Pelham, but escaped from Newgate Prison and fled to the Continent but returned and was pardoned by Charles I when the civil war started. Imprisoned, in 1648 he was allowed to emigrate to Virginia, where he died. - see http://www.british-civil-wars.co.uk/biog/index_l.htm#lunsford
