Miss Ford as Victorine
Handcoloured theatrical souvenir plate engraved with a portrait of the actress Miss Ford in the role of Victorine in my Old Woman. The portrait has been cut from a paper sheet and mounted on blue backing card. The portrait is embellished with metal foil tinsel ornaments, notably on the dress accessories. The clothing is of shaded silk. Such portraits would have been sold for 1d plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home.
