Rescue effort after V-1 'flying bomb' bomb attack at 7 Budge Row, 19th July 1944
This photograph records bomb damage to premises at number 7 Budge Row. The damage was caused by a V-1 flying bomb that fell during a raid on the City of London on 19 July 1944. Police Constables Arthur Cross and Fred Tibbs photographed the rescue party at work. The man pulled out of the rubble was one of several rescued alive from beneath the debris.
