Card, valentine card
Coloured chromolithographed valentine's card comprising a single sheet of card illustrated with a flying cupid figure ensnaring a rose stem & a sunflower stem. Within the sunflower bud is the face of a man, within the rosebud is the face of a woman. Below printed within a gilded cartouche is the verse 'What happy fortunes we should see Would Fate our lots combine, dear - If thou my Lady-Love could'st be, And I thy Valentine, dear!'.
