Card, valentine card
Comic valentine's card printed with a handcoloured caricature portrait of 'A Butcher' holding a slaughtered goose. Below is printed an eight line, cruel verse 'You lying, grinning, greasy whelp, The rich and poor, alike you cheat; And though you make a great display, You often deal in tainted meat. Your weights are short, your bills are long, Your poultry, too, is stale and tough, You'd better change your ways in time, And fill your shop with honest stuff.'
