Card, valentine card
Handfinished, three dimensional valentine's card stored within an original cardboard box with a hinged lid. The card has a layer of cream paper with an embossed and lace paper border design by Joseph Mansell. Attached to the central panel of this sheet, by means of a paper spring, is a cut out paper image of a cottage decorated with dried grasses. This is surrounded by a silver and white lace paper border, also attached to the bottom layer by paper springs and embossed with a floral design. Attached above this layer is a wreath of dyed green feathers, white cotton flowers and white starched paper leaves. The box is of white card with a lace paper border applied to the inner sides.
