An Alteration
Cruel valentine's card comprising a single sheet of cream card with serrated edge originally decorated with an applied cardboard gibbet and noose, now largely missing. Printed with the message 'An Alteration You ask me dear Miss not to falter but to hasten with you to the Altar I would, but I fear, That the aspirate, dear, precedes the latter word H..alter'.
