Card, valentine card

Multi-layered, three dimensional valentine's card stored in original lidded card box covered with textured paper. The card comprises three lace paper borders attached one over the other by means of paper springs or hinges to give a three dimensional effect. The white under border surrounds a central padded panel covered with blue satin fabric. Applied to the pad is a paper hand holding a bunch of white and blue cotton fabric flowers. The other two borders are part painted silver and have open centres which reveal the applied decoration of the bottom layer. Applied to the top border are sprigs of blue cotton flowers.
