Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card comprising a top sheet with a white lace paper surrounding a central area. Applied to this area is an oval shaped lace paper frame the centre of which has been decoratively cut out to reveal a silver paper vase filled with paper fruit applied to the inner sheet below. The card is also decorated with an applied embossed, coloured, paper bird, a garland of embossed paper flowers and leaves and an open paper book with gilded lettering 'No one can dearer raptures prove than two fond hearts that dearly love'.
