Card, valentine card
Handfinished valentine's card comprising a top sheet of silver and white lace paper embossed with a flower and leaf design surrounding an open oval panel and a plain roundel. Applied to the centre is a small white rice paper roundel with an applied green paper cherub surrounded by a silver embossed paper border. This roundel is surrounded by an applied wreath of embossed, coloured paper flowers and leaves. The card is also decorated with applied garlands of pressed satin flowers, silver embossed paper doves and three egg shaped glass beads covered with coiled silver wire. Inside the card is applied a cream satin roundel printed with a love verse entitled 'I love thee' surrounded by an embossed, gilded paper floral wreath.
