Printed Ephemera — 1852-1875
Songsheet
Letterpress slip sheet or flyer printed with the words of the song 'The King and the Miller of the Dee' as sung by Mr Corrie at the Canterbury Hall, Upper Marsh, Westminster Road, Lambeth. The song sheet was probably issued free to those attending the performance to encourage them to sing along. On reverse is printed an advertisement for the sheet music to 'Bright Blue Eyes'.
The Canterbury Hall opened in 1852 as the first purpose built music-hall in London.
