Card, valentine card

Multi-layered, handfinished valentine's card comprising cream top sheet solid embossed with a floral border design. Applied to the central area is a smaller sheet with a gilded and white lace paper border surrounding a central panel. Attached to this central panel by paper hinges is a smaller gilded lace paper sheet with a central panel of silk embroidered with the verse 'Love's entreaty a love that's firm, a heart that's true my dearest one I offer you; O do not then the offering spurn, but give affection in return'. This panel is covered with a paper medallion decorated with an embossed floral bouquet which flaps down from the top to reveal the hidden verse.
