The Mouse Trap
Cobweb or beehive valentine's card comprising a piece of card with handwritten six line love verse and beneath an applied paper roundel handpainted with an illustration of a country cottage and cut, from the centre, into circular shaped strips. A number of red cotton threads are protruding from a hole in the cottage door. When these threads are pulled the circular strips are raised to form a cobweb or cage effect revealing a handdrawn image on the card below of three small brown mice.
